Fulfilling an urgent need
Our world is full of hurting people. Children who have lost mother, father, or both. Women who have lost their husband-widowed and struggling to make ends meet. Poverty, disease, unemployment, drought, conflict and even death – millions of people in developing countries face the darkness alone. They are left in despair.
WorldServe has discovered firsthand that clean water and sanitation is the first step in community development. There can be no quality of life without clean water-no jobs, no schools, no food, nothing happens without water.
But we also know that water is only the first step. At our WorldServe Life Centers, people in poor communities get intense help in seven different areas. In addition to clean water, we invest in green off grid electrical power, communications, agricultural development, economic development, health care and education.
