Every 15 seconds a child dies due to unsafe drinking water. This is a sobering thought used to open up a short note. A thought, not manipulated, altered, or designed to cause sympathy. A true thought, a founded statistic, reality. This statistic is something I think about everyday. I am able to pick up a glass, turn on the tap, and take a drink… without fear of what disease I may acquire.
Most people in East Africa are not able to drink water without picking up a deadly parasite or disease. Some people don’t even have access to water, leaving the women and children to spend up to 8 hours a day collecting what water they can find. You are in a position to make a difference. We aren’t asking for thousands of dollars, an entire service to present our cause, or monthly support.
