Father’s Day 2019: Steward your Influence

The impact of a good father is priceless. Good fathers are world changers, life makers and barrier breakers. They have a way of encouraging you like no one else can, making the impossible seem reachable. At WorldServe, we are inviting you AND your dad to Steward Your Influence! This simply means, take care of the impact you can make on the world! Dad has made a special impact on your life, now let’s share that impact with others.

Join us with dad to make a life-changing difference for people suffering from a lack of clean water in East Africa.

Here’s how:

  1. Give $25 in dad’s honor.
    1. Give online to reach 1 person with clean water FOR LIFE
    2. After you’ve given, tell us how your dad has influenced you to make your mark on the world by tagging us on Instagram and Facebook.
  2. Give $25 as a dad.
    1. Give online to reach 1 person with clean water FOR LIFE
    2. After you’ve given, share with your kids about why you’re giving and why it’s important to you to be involved in solving the world water crisis by tagging us on Instagram and Facebook.

Fathers, thank you for your impact and your influence in our world! It’s easiest to do nothing, but good fathers always do something. Take this Father’s Day (June 16, 2019) to steward your influence and tackle the clean water crisis with dad!

Solar Panels in the Middle of Nowhere? About the WorldServe Drilling Process

In 2001, WorldServe International identified a need in rural East Africa. Not many companies or organizations were focused on these hard to reach communities that were suffering the most from a lack of access to clean water. We’ve watched the technology grow and change through the years, but our mission has remained the same: Give Africa our best!

Becoming more efficient and specialized with our process, equipment and implementation has been a game-changer. For instance, hand pump technology was popular in the early 2000’s, allowing each site to serve about 400 – 500 people at a time. We now know that our sites, if equipped with deep boreholes and solar-powered distribution systems can serve anywhere from 5,000 – 7,000 people at a time. Plus, it’s a simple as turning the faucet for these families!

Take a look at this infographic to learn more about our site selection process and the steps we take to ensure these sites provide water to generations to come!

NBA Legend & Analyst, Charles Barkley pledges $45,000 to fund clean water in East Africa.

Our friend, Malcolm Brogdon was interviewed by the crew at NBA on TNT during an NBA playoff game and the results were about more than just basketball! While sharing about his return from injury with the panel, Brogdon was asked about his work with Chris Long and Hoops2o. NBA legend and now TNT analyst, Charles Barkley immediately stepped in, asked how much it is to fund a clean water system in East Africa and quickly pledged $45,000 towards a “Chuck” well.

We’re unbelievably proud of Malcolm and his passion to make this world a better place! As the implementing partner for the Hoops2o & Waterboys initiatives, we’re giving a big congratulations to the team for funding yet another solar-powered well that will reach people who have never received clean water before. Keep up the good work and thank you Charles Barkley and TNT for your support of tackling the clean water crisis in East Africa!

Another way you can uniquely help us solve the water crisis is by becoming a Water First partner. We know that water first is the beginning step to aiding developing countries in sustainable growth. We’ve created a monthly giving program that is set on stretching your dollar to its furthest capacity! Each month you give, we use this private donation to take care of administrative costs. Why is this important? So that donors who give in the future will be able to see 100% of the proceeds reach Africa!
